Privacy
Thousandfold builds pictures out of your photos, so it needs to see them. It looks at them on your device. There is no account and no server of ours, and nothing is counted or tracked.
What it does with your photos
- It reads your library on your device, and remembers a few small numbers per photo, kept on the device and left out of backups. Hidden photos and screenshots are never used.
- It never changes or deletes a photo, and it never uploads your library.
- It only writes to your library when you press Save to Photos.
The only things that can leave your device
- Pictures you keep, to your own private iCloud. A saved picture holds small copies of the photos in it. You can turn this off in Settings.
- Small copies of likely photos, to Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, only if you let the large model help you find photos of something, and only after it asks you.
- Your words, to ChatGPT through Apple, only if you choose that look when describing a picture.
- Anything you share yourself, to wherever you send it. Sharing asks which size first: someone you send full detail to can zoom in on every photo in it, and a video of a picture building shows photos up close.
